Van Raam Easy Sport recumbent bike chosen as test winner
The Norwegian government has had the Van Raam Easy Sport recumbent tricycle tested by an independent commission in connection with the tender procedure, a multi-year tender, and found it to be very good. Find out what the Easy Sport has to offer in terms of quality, possibilities for customisation using the available accessories and user-friendliness.
Easy Sport recumbent bike test winner
In the category 'tricycle with seat, alternative steering system, two wheels in the back, transmission and auxiliary motor, for school-age children, adolescents and adults - active users', in addition to the Easy Sport recumbent tricycle by Van Raam, the Kettwiesel E and H by Hase, the Trigo D by Hase and the Relax by Draisin were tested. The Easy Sport tricycle came out as the winner after all the evaluations and recumbent bike tests.
The seating position gives a more secure and stable feeling as it is close to the rear wheels.
Van Raam Easy Sport
The sporty tricycle Easy Sport stood out because it offers many individual settings that ensure that this recumbent bike can be adapted to the individual user. Furthermore, the Easy Sport has a good seat height which provides a good mobility for people with reduced mobility as the seat and backrest can be adjusted separately to suit your needs. The seating position gives a more secure and stable feeling as it is close to the rear wheels. The existing parking brake ensures that the recumbent bike remains stable and that the rider can easily get on and off the bike, e.g. if there are balance problems.
Despite the low prices offered by other suppliers in this tender, the Easy Sport was the best recumbent bike in the overall evaluation. This again shows that quality and experience are ultimately decisive.

Pedal support for the recumbent bike test winner Easy Sport
The Easy Sport also has an optional individual pedal support which offers very good support and has a wide range of possible uses. It was noticeable that the engine starts up quickly when pedalling and the Van Raam system offers good support. The pedal assistance can be operated via the display on the handlebar of the Easy Sport. This display has an on/off button, three assistance modes and a starting aid. With the starting aid, the engine gives you extra support for 10 seconds, so that you can easily start cycling from a standstill. A unique feature of the Van Raam pedal assist is that it is possible to ride backwards when the assist is on. These and more advantages again led to Van Raams pedal support winning the ExtraEnergy test in 2019.
