Some things don't need reinventing. The vanRaam Maxi is a traditional tricycle bike done properly: smooth-running, well-built, and designed to give you the stability and confidence of three wheels without changing the familiar feel of upright cycling.
A familiar, stable, and easy to ride vanRaam trike
The Maxi uses a classic layout: one wheel at the front, two at the rear, with you sitting above the crank in an upright position. It's the riding position most cyclists already know, which makes the transition to three wheels feel natural from the very first ride.
A high seating position gives you a clear view of the road and surroundings. The parking brake makes getting on and off safe and straightforward. Three frame heights are available — 44cm, 53cm (standard), and 62cm — to suit a range of inseam lengths.
Smooth and manoeuvrable: the vanRaam Maxi
The vanRaam Maxi's single front wheel and differential make it nimble in town and on cycle paths. Gearing options include a freewheel and back-pedal brake for added versatility.
Intelligent assistance built in
The Maxi is available with vanRaam's Silent System electric pedal assist. Award-winning, near-silent, and individually programmable, it makes longer distances and hillier terrain much more manageable. Includes start assist and the ability to ride backwards for easier parking.
